Abstract:
The University of Tokyo Edge Capital (UTEC) was founded in 2004, to promote investment for innovative business start-ups with high technology and scientific skills, emanating from universities and research institutions, home and abroad. 3 funds have been built up so far, reaching nearly 30 billion yen as of 2015, to co-found and invest on the prospective businesses. We offer hands-on supports covering IPO, M&A, management, and finance, from the very beginning to mid-long term periods.
How can venture capitalists act in the field of Life Science? How prosperous is its industry? We can witness how far our future path can develop as PhD. holders.
