Abstract:
After studying in the USA followed by work experiences in Okinawa and at the Yemen Office of the UNDP (United Nations Development Programme), I came back to Japan. In some countries with less tax revenue than Japan, citizens enjoy better welfare services and spend more relaxed time with their families. Why does this happen? One of the main reasons is the way tax is used. With Japan in a wrong direction, I decided to run for a city council member when I had a bay in order to make Japan a better society for generations to come. In this lecture, I will talk about my first experience to run for the election, council member’s jobs, and my vision as a member.
