Title:　Water treatment in China and business start-up

Abstract:

China has shown the breakaway from labor-intensive industry and embarked upon creating a society that harmonizes high added value industry and environment. Though it used to put exclusive emphasis on GDP development, brushing environmental problems under the rug, China has been implementing the Thirteenth five-year plan since 2016, which includes the improvement of ecology as one of the goals. The world largest environmental market of China is in a golden age for investment and both domestic and foreign business companies are competing fiercely to survive.

In this lecture, I will talk about what I learned from the success in marketizing two new products at chemical business company and from overseas posting, and introduce how I started up a new company engaged in technology for environmental protection in China and future prospect of the company. I hope what is presented will be of help to young researchers in developing their career and job philosophy.
