Title:  Overview of Pharmaceutical Product Safety Measures

Abstract:

The quality, efficacy and safety of pharmaceutical products used for medical care in Japan are regulated by Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act. Although medicines are used to cure or to improve the disease conditions, adverse drug reactions in human body, tissues or cells cannot be ignored. Therefore, it is very important to identify the adverse drug reactions during the use of medicines and to take the measures to minimize the risks arising from the adverse drug reactions. After introducing pharmaceutical products safety measures of Japan, I hope to have an active two-way discussion.
