Title: Seminar on the Minamata Convention on Mercury: Global Mercury Waste Management

Abstract:
The Minamata Convention on Mercury aims at international life cycle management of mercury. In the convention provisions, Mercury Waste is set as a last stronghold to protect the human health and the environment from anthropogenic emissions and releases of mercury and mercury compounds as the convention objective. The seminar will focus on determining and analysing the current situation and problems on mercury waste management at global level. Furthermore, the seminar will also consider about how waste management should be implemented in terms of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs).
