Title: Learning is long-life process  Taking Chances by Planned Happenstance

Abstract:

After getting PhD in Japan, the speaker studied signal transduction as a postdoc in Boston, then spending four and half years in Cleveland as an independent PI. About five years ago, I joined a Japanese pharmaceutical company Daiichi Sankyo and worked on early stage oncology project. Since 2014, my job responsibility switches to Open Innovation, leaving from bench.

Based on these experiences, I am going to talk about the difference/similarity in academia system in USA and Japan, and what it looks like working industry. I will touch on mind setting to work happily in various workplaces.
