Abstract:

Based in Kyoto, Horiba, Ltd. is a manufacturer of precision instruments for analysis and measurement. The company’s business creed is “Have joy and fun.” Horiba was founded by Masao Horiba in 1945 when he was a third-year student of Kyoto University. Since its beginning, continuous investment in technology and human resource development has made Horiba a global company, wherein more than half of 7000 staff are foreigners.

When I started my career at Horiba, I converted from pharmaceutical sciences to social sciences and humanities to manage human affairs and resource development. My motto is “Cool head, warm heart, and smile.”

While I, who initially started the career at Horiba as a temporal job, introduce words and messages that inspired my career, I want to make this seminar an opportunity to discuss ideal personnel Horiba wants to hire, the role of glocal leader, and career management with 10 years vision with you.
