【Procedure】

1. Send the PDF files describing the following to Prof. Ogawa(ogawamin#kumamoto-u.ac.jp[#=@]) in advance.

-the documents discribing the period, venue and outline of the program of the conference

-the documents discribing students’ own presentation including a detailed program with the title and abstract

2. If authorized the conference as HIGO Research Presentation, students need to submit the report and above PDF files to the e-portfolio after the the conference.

Note:Please submit  far in advance as possible, there’s a possibility that your application will not be approved

Regarding Volunteer Activities for Kumamoto Earthquake 2016
Please beware of the following when you conduct volunteer activities at the disaster areas.

1.Volunteer Activities
Volunteer activities at disaster areas come with risk. There are some precautions that a volunteer may need to know. One must contact the Student Counseling Office (gakusei soudan shitsu) before getting involved in volunteer activities.

In view of possibilities to be injured, please purchase an insurance for injury.

 
2.About fund raising
In the case of fund raising activity conducted as in [xxxxxx of Kumamoto University], one must notify the Student Counseling Offic (gakusei soudan shitsu). One must provide the particulars of the persons involved (name of representative, contact, members’ names (as well as faculty, year of study), recipient of the fund, time and place of activities, and the details of the activities.
In addition, one would need to notify the police station in order to conduct street fund raising. Depending on the place, one may need to apply permission from the local authorities. One shall display student ID card and dress decently in fund raising activities.
